Outfit Post: Last Day of March

I have to confess, I have lots of new shoes and clothing items that have yet to make it on this blog for the mere fact that I don't want anything worn out looking before my trip to Italy at the end of Spring. For instance, this outfit would look so much better with my new gladiator wedge sandals, but I wear out my shoes so quickly, I'm trying to keep putting the miles on my old shoes to save my new ones.
I love the neckline on this blouse. The ruffles and the print are so much fun! I only wish that it was either a little longer, or if it had to be this short, some princess darts would have been more attractive I think.
Interesting fact about these jeans. They are my very first pair of skinny jeans ever. I got them on sale and then added a coupon to get them for $20 at Express. I bought them about 4 or 5 years ago. Yes, it took me a while to join the bandwagon of skinny jean fans.
And this is my model shot - the wind was blowing at just the right angle at just the right time.

Top - J.Crew - thrifted $1.50
Jeans - Express - $20
Sweater - Ann Taylor LOFT - thrifted $2
Wedges - Target - $6
Hoop earrings - Premier Jewelry - $21

Outfit Post: Texture

I know, it's finally spring, why would I wear corduroys now?! They were on super clearance at Kohl's and I had to try them out right away. They are actually a deep blue, not black. The deep blue picks up the embossed velvet texture in the top. I love blues and greens together.

Top - I.N.C. - thrifted - $2
Skinny cords - Lauren Conrad for Kohl's - $6
Vintage cuff bracelet - gifted
Earrings - thrifted for $1
Wedge sandals - JCPenney - $8

Outfit Post: Pink Spring Patterns

I wore this on the first day of spring and forgot to post it. It felt so good to pull out some pink floral prints and wear them all together in one outfit - I felt so girly and carefree!

Top - Gap - $6
Earrings - gifted
Skirt - J.Crew - thrifted for $3
Espadrilles - Nine West - gifted
Scarf - thrifted for $1

My Best Fashion Accessory

My best fashion accessory has to be my daughter, especially considering she remains glued to my hip when she's awake. She does not like to be set down. Makes for trying days when you're trying to get something done. So the other day, I decided to just include her in what I was doing (painting my toenails).

Her first pedicure in a bright salmon pink!

Outfit Post: Can't Get Enough of This Vintage Party Dress

My Mother-in-law bought me this dress from an antique store for my Birthday the year before last. It is amazing! This is the first time I've worn it with the original sash belt and elbow sleeves. I styled it differently here. The pumps are Vince Camuto and the bracelet is vintage from my Mother-in-law.

Now did any of you get any fashion inspiration from seeing us dress up in these vintage hats?

Italian Fashion Blogs

My husband and I are going to Italy this year for vacation. I've been spending way too much time researching for the trip, and now am spending even more endless hours perusing Italian fashion blogs for ideas on what to wear. Sabrina of Freaky Friday, posted the most adorable Rome worthy outfit this past week:
So beautiful!

Outfit Post: Shades of Summer

I never thought I'd be wearing summer clothes in March. Especially in Northwest Ohio. I now understand how frustrating it can be when you live in the south and you have to wear summer clothes all year round. Not that I'm frustrated, but it is technically still winter and yesterday it was up to 80 degrees here. Wonderful reprieve for us northerners, but I would miss my fall and winter if I lived in the south.
I'm wearing the same color pants as my house - buttery yellow. I have my fingers crossed that they will make it for a whole day without getting stained. Not likely to happen, but I thought I'd try.
Top - Isaac Mizrahi for Target - $6
Scarf - Goodwill - $.25
Slacks - J.Crew from Goodwill - $3
Espadrilles - Nine West - gifted
Earrings - gifted

Playdate to Family Birthday Party

The weather here this week is going to be upper 60's and lower 70's. I'm loving it! It means the kids and I will be out taking walks to the shops downtown and the park almost everyday. I don't want to miss out on a single bit of this glorious sun!
My go to park and walking shoe are these canvas sneakers that I got from Crewcuts. Yes, I wear kid's shoes. A girl's size 3 is the same as a women's size 5.
All I had to do was add the crochet vest and espadrilles, and I felt dressed up enough for hostessing a very casual dinner party for my mother-in-law's birthday.
I couldn't resist pairing this ombre t-shirt with the orange jeans since the colors matched so perfectly.
I got the top at Kohl's on clearance for $2 and the jeans were Goodwill finds for $3. Espadrilles were a "push" present from my husband from Nine West, vest a gift from my Mom, necklace a vintage find at an antique store from my sister-in-law, and earrings were Target clearance finds for $1.
Hope you are all enjoying some beautiful spring weather too!
Have a good day!
