About the Domestic Sophisticate Contributors

Me (Nic) - I am the co-founder of Domestic Sophisticate, and now the main driving force behind this blog. I post my daily outfits with the prices of each items so you can see how cheap and easy it is to step up your wardrobe a notch. I keep this blog to motivate me to stray away from the stereotypical SAHM frumpy image, while maintaining a tight budget and keeping what I wear practical for a mom on the go.

Missi (my younger sister) is the co-founder of Domestic Sophisticate. She is now expecting her second baby and would rather not spend much time on the blog for an indefinite period of time. She might pop in every now and then to model her classic flop proof mom outfits, or her latest beauty finds or advice.

Greg and Susan (Li) is Missi's and my little sister who will be filling in the gaps since Missi stopped posting by adding in a new angle to our Domestic Sophisticate theme...she will be modeling frugal, feminine, trendy, but modest outfits for teen girls. For you Moms who read this blog, don't let your teenage daughters tell you that modesty is out of style--take inspiration from Li!

Kelly Langner Sauer is my good friend and our part-time web editor. It is thanks to her that this website looks so pretty!

About the Founders of Domestic Sophisticate:

Missi and I are sisters who have always done everything together, from working for the same employer, to sharing an apartment together, to enjoying the same hobbies (i.e., music, art, and shopping). Shortly after I got married, Missi got married and moved across country. No longer could we go shopping together, share clothes, or swap beauty ideas!

Not too long after that we both had a baby and became SAHMs (Stay-At-Home-Moms) within just a few weeks of each other. Not having to dress up for work everyday posed a problem for us. No longer do we *have* to go shopping or *have* to dress up.

We decided we could remedy the situation by starting this blog as incentive to keep shopping, keep dressing up, and keep sharing beauty secrets.

We post about new beauty finds, share pictures of our latest shopping endeavors, and most importantly tell each other how good we look! lol!

We hope you enjoy watching us attempt to figure out how to stay in style while staying at home!
