Idea...

So I can never keep my necklaces untangled, so since I have more towel racks in my bathroom than I need, I decided to try this....not the best idea, but it works out for me and I thought I'd share :)

10 now tell me what you think!:

Hey - just a word of warning. I did that for a while (a year or so) and all my necklaces became pretty crappy. Granted, I don't splurge on the nice stuff, but all the constant heat + humidity really did a number on my inexpensive necklaces - the paint would flake off beads, etc. Ever since I moved them out of my bathroom none of my necklaces have been ruined that way.

Great idea - I wish I had an extra towel rack to do that.

After detangling 3 hopelessly tangled chains, my boyfriend hung a bulletin board on the inside of our bedroom closet door and I used push pins to hang all my necklaces. It works really well. I have a lot (way too many) and I can see them all and they don't tangle. You can make 2 or 3 rows of push pins to display them all. Now that I have moved to my own apartment I hung the bulletin board over my dresser and get lots of compliments on the way it looks (and I only did that to get it off the floor when I moved).

Thanks for the warning Kelly! I can see how that would become a problem, I see if I can come up with a better idea! Thanks!-Li

Hi Nic. Like your idea. I also had a problem of a garbled mess of tangled necklaces. I posted one solution that has worked out well for me: http://2cool4myminivan.blogspot.com/2009/10/bling-board.html :)Janna

I have a similar hanging system for my multitude of necklaces. However mine is one of those over the door hangers and from it I have a sturdy metal coathanger hanging. From the coathanger I also have another coathanger (cheaper drycleaners type) that I took apart and wired onto the bottom of the first coathanger. I find it really has helped me keep things untangled, but more importantly I can see at a glance what I own!! I did have a necklace I left hanging in the bathroom for about a week and it now has little spots (rust?) over it, so I would also say it's probably not a good idea to keep them where it's too moist.

my best friend does this

I also use the closet rack with the metal clothing hangers

Or I pin it to a corkboard

Style on a String ..because style has nothing to do with money.
