Hello dear readers!
So I've been thinking a lot about this blog...mainly becuase I look forward to posting everyday and then reading your comments. That got me thinking about how I could contrive a reason to spend more time blogging. While I'm filled with ideas of how to add more content to this site, I'd love to hear your thoughts.
What do you enjoy most about this blog? What would you like to see more of on this blog? Do you have any suggestions for how to make it more user friendly? Do you prefer write-ups on beauty products, beauty tips, or pictures of our outfits everyday? Do you like the mix of everything?
Some ideas I have would be to #1 make this blog a little more user friendly, #2 keep a separate tab for the "What I Wore Today" series, #3 include more articles on beauty advice, #4 do more beauty product reviews, and #5 write more articles discussing beauty and the SAHM.
I am very interested to hear what you all have to say, so if you would take a minute to let me know, I would greatly appreciate it!

I am a new reader of your blog and it has helped me out so much. I am a SAHM of two boys and I guess I was in a fashion slump. I didn't think it really mattered to anyone what I wore or how I looked. Through reading your blog and looking at what you wear everyday, I got out of that slump and I realized that even if nobody cares what I wear it makes me feel better to look good and that makes me a better wife and mother. The only thing I would add would be an archive of outfits by season and I think discussing more fashion and beauty advice geared toward SAHM's sounds great. Thank you so much for all that you do.
Hey -
I LOVE LOVE LOVE checking your blog - you and your sister are both so great. I love seeing your daily outfits and the amazing deals you get. I have enjoyed some of your more recent posts about style - starting with basics and then adding accessories before you run errands - I have been searching the fashion blogs for something that would really address the issues of style and the stay at home mom. We want to be cute - sexy - and fashionable but we need to be comfortable - and we need wash and go due to grubby hands and noses - and we have newer figure flaws that we are trying to address. I know for me after my second I have the dreaded belly pouch. How do I dress this new body without looking frumpy or on the flip side - like I am trying too hard - I don't necessarily want to wear my cutest outfit to the park.
I also love tips on beauty too or great accessories - I don't get to shop for myself too much I usually have both kids and neither is a great shopper. So I need to streamline what I want - I may only get to one or two stores. Also BUDGET friendly (which you already do)
I am excited to see what you end up doing with your blog.
Thanks,
Rachel
Hi! I agree with Rachel. I am a 34 yr old SAHM, married nearly 16 years, with 5 kids ages 13, 12, 10
5 and 8 months...and I homeschool (WHEW!!!). I love fashion but I have a hard to fit body, very curvy + I am picky about clothes because modesty is #1 to me, #2 is looking great. Your blog inspires me, I think you are doing a great job. I don't have the money that you do to shop, but I can look at your blog and get ideas and pull things out of my closet. I would like to see more specific guidelines when shopping for fit/body type, what to avoid for certain body types, etc. I am also very interested in new color combinations (for instance, violet with brown, turquoise with orange...and then good colors to accent those) I am always looking for new, fun ideas. Thanks for all you do, and I look forward to seeing the changes you make to your blog!
Me again, (anonymous from above post). OK, I have an example of how you can help us "blogettes"! I have such a hard time with my wardrobe I can't even begin to tell you. If you go to the blog "What's My Style", THAT is my body shape (like Jennifer Hudson, just a bit smaller)...then if you go to "Mascara and Heels" THAT is my style to a "T". I love everything about her wardrobe and that is how I dress (except that I don't wear pants, only skirts). There is just one problem...the girl on "Mascara and Heels" doesn't have my body type so I end up looking like a fat blob/frump in those clothes! The girl on "What's My Style" wears things that are just too tight fitting for my taste. Although I have an hourglass shape I won't wear belts to accentuate my waist because I'm too self conscious of my baby belly after 5 kids:( Do you have any suggestions? I'm in desperate need of a fashion intervention! Thanks for any help you can offer.
I'm not a habitual poster, but I prefer what you're doing right now.
I wouldn't change anything; that's the mistake that the 'Frugal Fashionista' blog had made last year. They went and made a simple concept complicated, and now I seldom visit the blog anymore.
If it ain't broke, don't fix it!
Well I'm new to following your blog and I love it! It really helps to give me ideas to freshen up the clothing items I have already! And when I'm out at garage sales or thrift stores I am more prepaired to purchase something if I have a few ideas bouncing around my head!! Keep up the good work!!!
You had mentioned the other day how you used to dress and to check it out to see how far you've come...I couldn't find any good before pics...would love to see them.
Need to think and get back to you on the other questions. Had some comments the other day just along those lines...my tired brain can't pull them out right now.
My teenage girls love to look at your page...just thought you'd like to know.
I agree with Regina that archiving by season would be helpful. I would also be interested in more articles on how you find such awesome deals! I also really enjoyed the pictures of your closet on how you organized everything & the article(s) you wrote on accessorizing. For me, reviews of beauty products aren't always as helpful, because I have to remember to buy them and I'm not so good at that ;p
Really LOVE your blog though - you are so fashionable & photogenic!
i've just stumbled upon your blog. Overall I think you're off to a great start. I agree with a few others above who mentioned incorporating more beauty related stuff. You seem to wear makeup so it would be great if you put up a face breakdown in addition to your clothes breakdown. (Just the products, you wouldn't have to post application techniques unless you wanted).
GL!
